Rachel transitioned quite a few years ago now, and I work actively to ignite our cultural curiosity in relation to the cycles and that includes, of course, the menstrual cycle.

Now, one would think that Rachel and I would not share a lot in common. From one perspective, I am giving extra value to the menstrual cycle and that could be seen as confronting to a transwoman. We have found, however, that we have more in common than one may think and despite all odds, she has been one of my greatest supporters in the journey of reconnecting ourselves back with our hormonal bodies and the wisdom they bring.

This conversation was recorded about a year and a half ago. It was our first time recording something together. After that, we published two other conversations. This one and this one.

It does that in a variety of ways, some more obvious than others. I’ll share some below.

1 - the combination of people involved in this presentation felt very Fine Line/Full Circle to me and foregrounded the dance - what was being created - and not the individuals, even though our presentations were deeply personal.

Rachel, a transwoman that is, in my experience, a walking devotion to the Feminine principle, Aydan, that identifies as transmasculine and brings the exquisite combination of testosteronic sharpness, wise masculine holding energy, and a knowing and seeing of the feminine, me, Adriana, a woman that spends a lot of her time attempting to speak of the unspeakable and translate the untranslatable for the sake of “the dance”, and Gregg, an invisible but felt presence of trusted masculine and creator of the whole conference.

2 - the large container.

This presentation was created for the Consilience Conference created by Meta-psychologist Gregg Henriques so, in some ways, this feminine-focused conversation was held within a larger container that had a more masculine/abstract flavor to it.

3 - the small container of our conversation.

The container of Rachel’s and my presentation was created/held by Aydan Connor.

He arrived before us and demonstrated care and respect for the topic by taking the time to create a beauty-full introduction. His opening was so gracious that both Rachel and I felt held and received. In that space of trust and beauty, created by the masculine principle in Aydan, Rachel and I were free to “do our thing”.

4 - the creation

What unfolded was, to my eyes, art.

I am not sure if that is how others experienced our session or if it would even be possible to “feel” the session through the recording (we did have beautiful feedback from the session) but for me, the space that was created felt alive, rich, and participatory even when I was the only one speaking. (you won’t see people’s faces in the recording which is a shame!).

I am often in spaces in which we talk about the masculine and the feminine. This feels important during times of recalibration.

This presentation felt different. It felt like a three-act dance in which both the masculine and the feminine were the “main characters”.

Deep gratitude to both Rachel and Aydan for this collaboration and for helping us all Re-member. (put ourselves back together).

“As Reciprocal Opening, as creative force, as the full circle, 

The feminine pulls you closer, falling to depth, 

leading you to weave throughout and engulfing you within her mysteries, 

The Map is Not the Territory, and as we enter a wilderness as walkers between worlds, we must step into our being and feel the twigs snap underfoot.

Our membranes must remain semi-permeable. 

Surrounding Dia-logos, The feminine cycle offers us Eco-logos: 

following the unpredictable twists and turns of epiphany towards an embedded, embodied, enacted, extended participatory logic of the heart hearth of home, of earth, of ecology.

This is feminine wisdom borne of agapic love, and ever-seeking symbiosis. 

Rachel and Adriana will remind us that Relevance Realization Must ultimately Realize its Irrelevance. 

The feminine relational Eco-Logos circles around beauty, for its own sake: Hers is the dance between the Earth, the Moon, and the Sun--

A roller coaster of energies and a bursting forth of diversities, of styles, of habitation. 

Re-membering the feminine is cyclical, nurturing, relational, and...a deeply, unmitigated messy. 

the feminine sacrifices, she grieves, holds suffering and leans IN to pain. The feminine bears witness.  

At this time, in which we come together, 

seeking Consilience, A time between worlds

Rachel and Adriana remind us that our only way through the Meta Crisis is not a trajectory--it carries no predicated, given,

Straight and Narrow Telos—

It is cyclical: birth, death, decay and RE-birth. 

They remind us that transcendence isn't to some abstraction “up” to some - meta meta meta - fractal and defined.

Transcendence is through, it is down, it is inward, it is bodily. 

Transcendence isn't in the cold distance, in the physics of stars, it is toes wiggling in soil breathing,

A soil that swells with water, a holding matrix of roots, air and microbiome teeming with and networking life begetting life. 

To transcend is not to propositionally pasteurize, to surgically sterilize.

To transcend is to acclimate, to resonate and inoculate to participate in the Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast and Beyond.”
