I’ve often struggled to share fragments of my perspective with others. Over the years, it’s become easier—or at least, I’ve grown more comfortable with the partiality of interviews, podcasts, and articles. I suppose my impulse to write a book comes from exactly that: the desire to express more facets of myself, my thinking, and why C-Lab is so deeply woven into everything I care about in this world.
In my ongoing attempt to reveal more—more of myself, more layers of the story, more of what lies beneath our actions and drives—I’ve decided that in 2025, I’ll be having a series of conversations that do just that: reveal.
With this in mind, I invited Amanda into a recorded dialogue. Well, truthfully, she invited me first. She’s working on a project and reached out a couple of weeks ago, curious about my work and the origins of my passion. It was such a beautiful invitation that I asked if we could record our conversation for C-Lab, and she generously said yes.
Amanda is the same age as my youngest sister, and I felt such joy being in conversation with another genuinely curious woman. Her openness and curiosity took me on a wild ride into my past, tracing the twists and turns of my life. The conversation—mostly me speaking, guided by Amanda’s thoughtful questions—felt like a tender disclosing of my heart.
It’s the kind of conversation best listened to while cooking, cleaning, or gardening (at least, that’s how I tend to listen!). It’s not heady or abstract but warm, heartfelt, and, for me, deeply nostalgic.
Thank you, Amanda, for having me as the centre of your curiosity for this conversation. It felt like a gift.
Big love to all. ❤️
